CHEHALEM MOUNTAIN PAULÉE
Portland is a city of artisan restaurants, known for its independent chefs following their own muses. You’ve been sooooo close to it, but there just hasn’t been time… until Day Three. The Chehalem Mountains Winegrowers have a solution for you – we’re bringing several of Portland’s most renowned young chefs (including Jack Yoss from Ten01 and Scott Dolich from Park Kitchen and Troy MacLarty from Lovely Hula Hands) to wine country for a brilliant collaborative dinner at the historic Five Mountain Vineyard. The chefs are planning a grazing dinner for you, to be accompanied by older vintages from your hosts Adelsheim, Carabella, Chehalem, Dobbes, Elk Cove, and Raptor Ridge. Before dinner, there are some serious activities (compare wines from the three soil types in the Chehalem Mountains AVA and earn prizes with your tasting skills) and some less serious ones (bluegrass music from a local band and a custom Chehalem Mountains brew). Convene at Chehalem’s winery on 99W.
RSVP: Kim Bellingar at 503-538-3652, kbellingar@adelsheim.com… oh and did we mention the sunset?

THE EOLA HILLS WALKABOUT
Join Bethel Heights, Cristom, St. Innocent and Witness Tree for a relaxed evening exploring the terroir of the Eola Hills. After arriving at St. Innocent Winery, your evening begins with a walk through contiguous vineyards, beginning at Witness Tree, and on to Cristom, Temperance Hill, and Bethel Heights Vineyard. You will taste wines made from the blocks you visit along the way, and discuss with the winemakers what makes each site and its wine distinctive. As the sun sets, we'll return to Zenith Vineyard and St. Innocent for dinner. The five-course tasting menu is designed and prepared by Mark Vlossak of St. Innocent Winery and will feature locally sourced, sustainable foods. We will crack open new and some special old wines, all from the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Dress is casual, and good walking shoes are recommended. RSVP: Marilyn Webb at 503-581-2262, marilyn@bethelheights.com.

PLATE & PITCHFORK
Dusky Goose, Patton Valley and Resonance invite you to experience an unforgettable evening of Oregon’s bounty with a special dinner presented by Plate & Pitchfork - the farm dinner series that has garnered national acclaim by bringing the topic of sustainable agriculture and local farming to the table where guests, chefs, and farmers connect during a delicious meal. This year’s guest chef is the multi-award winning and nationally recognized Vitaly Paley of Paley’s Place Portland. Join us in Rambouillet Vineyard (Dundee) overlooking the picturesque Willamette Valley as Vitaly creates and prepares a meal using the freshest and highest quality local ingredients, pairing each course with wines from host wineries. “My goal, and dream is to bring the farmer closer to the guest in my restaurant,” says Vitaly. “The relationship I have with my growers dictates everything about my menu and preparations – it’s all about local, sustainable agriculture.” Omnivores & Herbivores welcome.
RSVP: Nancy Garvin at 503-435-7002, nancy@duskygoose.com.

GATHER FOR AN ITALIAN EVENING
Spend your final OPC evening relaxing, Italian-style, at the historic Ponzi winery. Join in a pre-dinner bocce playoff East Coast vs. West Coast with a selection of antipasti and Oregon-produced aperitivo wines served courtside. An Italian feast follows, paired with Italian varietals from Ponzi, current releases from Yamhill Valley Vineyards and sparkling wine from Argyle. Winemakers from these host wineries will join you around the family table for a truly memorable last night in the Willamette Valley. Ponzi Vineyards is just 40 minutes from PDX Airport. RSVP: Marianne Ponzi at 503-628-1227, maria@ponziwines.com

GET A CITATION! - A TICKET TO FARMING, FOOD, & FIRESTEED
James Beard award winner “Best Chef in the Northwest” Chef Philippe Boulot is joining Firesteed Cellars for this eye-opening journey. You will begin at the winery with appetizers and then be transported to Erratic Oaks, our new 200+ acre vineyard (adjacent to Freedom Hill Vineyard).  Hear the story behind the name, tour our new plantings, listen to our plans for the future and even learn how to drive farm equipment. We will record your “Kodak moment” courtesy of our professional photographer and of course the requisite appetizers and wines to match. Upon returning to Firesteed winery, we will guide you through a barrel tasting and a complete vertical tasting of “Citation”, our award winning, small production Pinot noir beginning with the 1994 vintage. To complete your evening, and satisfy your appetite, you will enjoy a never to be repeated, multi-course dinner prepared by Chef Boulot.
RSVP: Michael Bonner at 503-623-8683, mbonner@firesteed.com

REX HILL PIG ROAST
This is your chance to rub shoulders with some of the most important people in the Oregon wine industry; the farmers.  We have invited our vineyard management crew, our viticulturist, and all of the growers we work with to the Rex Hill garden for a no-holds-barred porcine feast and bacchanal.   Now we are inviting YOU!  Two parts of the supply chain will collide in a bizarre merging of parallel worlds—be there to see what happens.
